# Notifications

> What Talkif tells you about — billing, calls, security, organization — where it appears, and the low-balance threshold you should set.

Most of what happens in Talkif is visible on the dashboard as it happens; notifications are for the things you'd want to know about even when you're not looking: money running low, a card failing, a number suspended, a campaign pausing itself, someone inviting you to an organization.

## Where they appear

In the **bell** in the dashboard header, instantly — the notification inbox is pushed over the same live connection as call status. Unread counts, mark read/unread, delete. Notifications are per user within an account; each member of an organization has their own inbox.

## What you're told about

| Category | Examples |
| ---------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Billing** | Balance below your threshold; auto-recharge failed; a number's rental couldn't be paid; a number suspended for non-payment; the account suspended for a negative balance, and reactivated |
| **Calls** | A high failure rate across recent calls; a WhatsApp call declined |
| **Usage** | The concurrent-call limit was hit and calls queued |
| **System** | A phone number went inactive; a model you use was retired and the flow's setting adjusted; a Meta connection needs re-authorisation; maintenance |
| **Organization** | You were invited; your role changed; a member joined or left |
| **Security** | Sign-in security events on your user |

## The one setting worth changing

**Settings → Notifications → Alert thresholds → Low balance warning.** Talkif warns when the balance drops below the amount you set. Set it to roughly a day of spend at your busiest — high enough that a warning at 5 pm still leaves time to top up before the morning's campaign, and above the [auto-recharge threshold](/account/credits-and-payment#auto-recharge) if you use it, so you hear about a failing card before the account is suspended.

> **Note**
>
> Some emails are transactional rather than notifications and are always sent: sign-up and email-change verification, data-export and account-deletion confirmations, organization invitations.
