# Import contacts

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Pass a JWT access token or an API key (prefixed with `tif_live_`) as a Bearer token.

## Request

This endpoint expects an ImportRequest.

- `fileContent` (string, required) — Base64-encoded file content (VCF, CSV, or JSON)
- `format` (enum, required) — File format of the encoded content
  - Allowed values: `vcf`, `csv`, `json`
- `confirmed` (boolean, optional) — Set to true to execute the import; false returns a dry-run preview
- `defaultCountryCode` (string, optional, nullable) — Default country code for phone numbers without + prefix
- `duplicateStrategy` (enum, optional) — How to handle contacts whose phone number already exists (default: skip)
  - Allowed values: `skip`
