Once a flow is published and on a number, running calls is operations: deciding who gets called, when, from which line, and then reading what happened. Talkif gives you three ways to start outbound calls and one place to read the results, all sharing the same contacts and the same Do Not Call list. | Way to start | Good for | Set up in | | --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | -------------------------------------------- | | **Single call** | Testing, one-off callbacks, calls triggered by your own systems | Dashboard **Start a call**, or `POST /calls` | | **Campaign** | A list of contacts, called with pacing, windows, retries and analytics | **Campaigns** | | **Schedule** | One contact, called on a recurrence — daily check-ins, monthly reminders | **Schedules** | Inbound calls need nothing here; they're handled by the flow connected to the number ([Telephony](/telephony)). #### [Make a call](/calls/make-a-call) Place an outbound call from the dashboard or API, and what gets checked before it's placed. #### [Campaigns](/calls/campaigns) Lists, concurrency, call windows, retries, contact timezones, the lifecycle, and analytics. #### [Schedules](/calls/schedules) Recurring calls to one contact — once, daily, weekly, monthly or cron. #### [Transcripts and recordings](/calls/transcripts-and-recordings) What a finished call gives you: transcript, recording, cost, metrics and insights. #### [Take calls in the dashboard](/calls/take-calls-in-the-dashboard) Be available for transfers, answer them in the browser, and listen in on live calls. #### [Contacts](/calls/contacts) The people your agents call, and the data your prompts can use about them. #### [Import contacts](/calls/import-contacts) CSV, JSON or vCard, with a dry-run preview and duplicate handling. #### [Do Not Call](/calls/do-not-call) The list that blocks outbound calls to a number, whoever asks. > One call, a list, or a recurring appointment — and everything a finished call leaves behind. ## Docs - [Make a call](https://docs.talkif.ai/calls/make-a-call.md): Place a single outbound call from the dashboard or the API, what Talkif checks before dialing, why a request can be refused, and how to follow the call while it runs. - [Campaigns](https://docs.talkif.ai/calls/campaigns.md): Call a list of contacts with one flow — how contacts are chosen, paced and retried, how call windows and contact timezones work, the campaign lifecycle, auto-pause, and what the analytics tell you. - [Schedules](https://docs.talkif.ai/calls/schedules.md): Call one contact on a recurrence — once at a set time, daily, weekly, monthly or on a cron expression — with retries, an end date or run cap, and the contact's own timezone. - [Transcripts and recordings](https://docs.talkif.ai/calls/transcripts-and-recordings.md): Everything a finished call leaves behind — the transcript, the recording and its retention, the cost breakdown, conversation metrics, and AI insights — and how to get each from the dashboard or the API. - [Take calls in the dashboard](https://docs.talkif.ai/calls/take-calls-in-the-dashboard.md): Answer calls your agents transfer to people in the browser — the two switches that decide whether you ring, how an offer rings, and how to listen in on or take over a live call. - [Contacts](https://docs.talkif.ai/calls/contacts.md): The people your agents call — what a contact record holds, how it feeds prompts and campaigns, tags and segmentation, timezone and language, timelines, and soft deletion. - [Import contacts](https://docs.talkif.ai/calls/import-contacts.md): Bring contacts in from CSV, JSON or vCard — the columns, phone-number normalisation, the dry-run preview, duplicate handling, and what the summary tells you. - [Do Not Call](https://docs.talkif.ai/calls/do-not-call.md): A phone-number list that blocks every outbound call to it — how it's checked, how numbers get on it (including callers asking during a call), bulk import, and checking numbers before a campaign.
