Platform Overview

Understand Talkif's core concepts — Flows, Agents, Providers, and Phone Numbers.

Talkif is an AI voice agent platform. You build visual conversation flows, assign them to phone numbers, and run AI-powered voice calls — no code required.

Core concepts

Flows

A Flow is the visual conversation logic for your AI agent. You build Flows in a drag-and-drop builder by connecting nodes that define how the AI thinks, speaks, and listens.

Agents

An Agent is the AI personality within a Flow. It has a system prompt (who it is) and a task prompt (what it should do). The Main Agent is the entry point for every call.

Providers

Providers are the AI services that power your agent:

  • LLM — the language model that generates responses (e.g., GPT-4o, Claude)
  • TTS — text-to-speech that gives your agent a voice (e.g., ElevenLabs)
  • STT — speech-to-text that transcribes caller speech (e.g., Deepgram)

Phone Numbers

Phone Numbers are the entry points for calls. You purchase numbers directly in Talkif and assign published Flows to them.

How a call works

  1. An inbound call hits a Phone Number
  2. The number triggers its assigned Flow
  3. The Main Agent processes the conversation using its prompts
  4. Providers handle AI reasoning (LLM), speech synthesis (TTS), and transcription (STT)
  5. The call ends and a full transcript, recording, and cost breakdown are available in the Call Center

Billing

Talkif uses credits-based billing. You pay as you go — no subscriptions. Each call's cost is broken down by provider usage (LLM tokens, TTS characters, STT duration) so you know exactly where your credits go.

Real-time monitoring

The Call Center shows live call status, real-time transcripts, and cost tracking for every active and completed call.

Organizations

Talkif supports team collaboration through organizations. Invite team members, assign roles, and share Flows, numbers, and billing across your team.
