Members and roles
Roles answer one question: who can spend the account’s money, and who can change who’s in the room? Everything operational — building flows, placing calls, managing contacts and campaigns — is open to every member, because that’s the work. What’s gated is billing, telephony purchases, membership, and the account itself.
The roles
Created the organization or was handed it. The only role that touches money and the account’s existence: billing and cards, buying and releasing numbers, connecting carriers, account settings, deletion, changing members’ roles, transferring ownership.
Runs the team without touching the money: invites, suspends and removes members (not the Owner), plus everything a Member can do.
Does the work: flows, prompts, calls, campaigns, schedules, contacts, DNC, connecting flows to numbers, reading transcripts and costs.
What each role can do
API keys are created and revoked by the Owner and act with the scopes they’re given regardless of who uses them.
Inviting someone
Settings → General → Members → Invite Member
Enter their email, choose Admin or Member (no one is invited as Owner — ownership is transferred, not granted), and optionally a title and department for the member list.
Suspending, removing, leaving
- Suspend keeps the member on the list but blocks access — the right move for a leaver whose work you still need to audit. Reactivate reverses it.
- Remove takes them off the organization. Their user account and personal account continue to exist; anything they created in the organization’s account stays there.
- A member can leave on their own. The Owner can’t leave without first transferring ownership.
- The Owner can’t be removed by anyone; transfer ownership first.
Transferring ownership
The Owner picks an existing active member; that member becomes Owner and the previous Owner becomes an Admin. Do this before an Owner leaves the company — an organization without a reachable Owner can’t change its billing or delete itself without support’s help.
